Foreclosure Support ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
1. Who we are
Foreclosure Support is operated by a Canadian private real estate investor. We are not a lender, bank, lawyer, financial advisor, credit counsellor, charity, or government agency. We are not affiliated with any mortgage holder. Contact: hello@foreclosuresupport.ca.
2. What information we collect
When you submit our contact form or otherwise reach out to us, we may collect:
- Your name (first and last)
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The address of the property you'd like to discuss
- Any information you choose to provide about your situation
- Standard web analytics data (IP address, device type, pages visited)
3. Why we collect it
We collect this information solely to:
- Respond to your inquiry about options for your property
- Communicate with you by phone, SMS, or email about your situation
- Refer you to appropriate professionals (mortgage brokers, lawyers, credit counsellors) when relevant
- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations
We do not collect information for any other purpose without your explicit consent.
4. How we use and share your information
We will never:
- Sell your personal information
- Rent or trade your information to data brokers
- Share your information with any party that is not directly assisting with your inquiry
We may share limited information with:
- Professionals you specifically ask us to refer you to (with your consent)
- Service providers who help us operate our business (e.g., our CRM, email provider) under strict confidentiality agreements
- Authorities if required by law (e.g., court order)
5. CASL — Anti-spam compliance
When you submit our form, you provide express consent for us to contact you about your inquiry by phone, SMS, and email. Every commercial email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Every SMS includes a STOP reply option. You may withdraw consent at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any SMS
- Clicking the unsubscribe link in any email
- Emailing hello@foreclosuresupport.ca with the word UNSUBSCRIBE
We respect opt-outs within 10 business days as required by CASL.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Inquiry records are typically retained for 7 years for regulatory and tax purposes, after which they are securely deleted.
7. Your rights under PIPEDA
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for future communications
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca)
